Visit me at my Istrian art residence that sits just a stone's throw from the famous artist town of Grožnjan. Over the years, I have gathered a rich tapestry of friendships in the creative community surrounding me.

Should we head back into my creative kitchen to whip up a mediterranean, seasonal recipe for a late-afternoon terrace lunch?
Or should we begin mapping out the next creative project we could do together to bring all these beautiful stories alive?

A Shared Creative Journey with Eva Brutmann at Villa dell'Angela

I was delighted to welcome my dear friend and admired artist, Eva Brutmann—winner of Ex Tempore Grožnjan 2025—to stay with us in Istria alongside her husband Gottfried and their sweet dog, Leni.
Inspired by the gentle breeze, the serene view towards the Adriatic Sea, and the shade of the ancient olive tree in our garden, Eva’s creative spirit was instantly awakened. The tranquil energy of the grounds stirred her desire to paint. Opening my atelier to her, she immersed herself completely in creating artwork outdoors in the open air.
While Eva and I leaned into our creative flow, our husbands, Michael and Gottfried, spent relaxed hours conversing with Leni by their side.
We crowned this unforgettable time together with a toast of homemade Limoncello under the Istrian sun.

A Shared Creative Journey with Eva Brutmann

I was delighted to welcome my dear friend and admired artist, Eva Brutmann—winner of the Ex Tempore Grožnjan 2025—to join me for this year’s festival, together with her husband Gottfried and their sweet dog, Leni.
Inspired by the autumn sunshine, the serene view of the Adriatic Sea, and the peaceful ambiance under the olive trees in our garden, Eva’s creative spirit was instantly sparked. Although she hadn't brought any art supplies, watching me begin my linocut project ignited her desire to create. I happily opened my studio for her to start her own artwork right here at Villa dell'Angela.
While Eva and I immersed ourselves completely in our creative flow, our husbands, Michael and Gottfried, thoroughly enjoyed their own quality time together—chatting about the world with Leni by their side.
We both deeply appreciated the guidance and profound expertise of Sascha Kuzman at Galerie Amato, where I printed my linocut on their grand press. To crown this wonderful experience, we all came together to toast to our glorious creative time with a glass of homemade Limoncello.
