MASTERPIECES OF PAINT

"Out of this world"

A tribute to my incredible mentor, Wanda Brunner—a woman who was like an aunt to me, a fierce supporter who helped me overcome my dyslexia, and a sanctuary for countless students whom she guided with unconditional generosity.                       It It was Aunt Wanda who instilles in me the deep self-confidence and fearless presence that define how I move through the world. Her influence still lives on through my bright, bold personality! She possessed a radiant, commanding presence; when she walked into a room, all eyes turned to her, and when she read literature aloud, her magnificent voice held everyone captive. Painted to honor her journey after she bravely chose to release herself from the painful grip of illness, the canvas illustrates the transcendence of a beautiful soul. Capturing that final, sacred transition. It is the release of a grand soul—breaking through the turbulent, heavy clouds of earthly suffering into an eternal cascade of golden light and absolute freedom. She is, beautifully, out of this world. A celebration of a life well-lived and a spirit liberated. Acrylic and mixed media. Exhibited in Istria 2025

"Bird's eye view to Istrian meadow"

According to local legend, Istria was created by angels using leftover pieces of Heaven, resulting in a landscape of rolling hills, wide meadows, and a pristine coastline often called a "Green Mediterranean Oasis". This heart-shaped peninsula is celebrated for its lush, diverse scenery—including wildflower meadows, olive groves, and vineyards—that feels untouched.   Acrylic 2026.

"Paradise unbound!"

Surrealistic erotic heaven on earth dreamscape. A state of absolute bliss celebrating lushness with the vibrant hummingbird                          as symbol of joy. Mixed media: acrylic, crayon, glitter stones. 2025

"Pantegana in the house!"

This piece is a vibrant homage to the festival's spirit—named after the famous 'Pantegana' that leads the floating parade. Inspired by the opening ceremony of the famous Venice Carnival, which I experienced in a costume completed by a mask I created alongside a master Venetian artist. Drifting aboard a gondola, the boundary between theater and reality blurred. This painting captures that playful, festive energy and the timeless spirit of the Venetian lagoon.  Acrylic on canvas , 60x70 cm 2026

Olympia themed handcrafted Venetion masque. 2026

"If life gives you lemon make limoncello!"

Inspired by the sun-drenched gardens of Istria and close by Italy. Where even the bitterest lemons become a celebration of life!        Acrylic on canvas,  50x40 cm, 2025

Invisible

"Echoes of Clarity"

Painted in a burst of raw emotion immediately following my cataract surgery in June 2023—the exact moment the world rushed back in all its wonderful, vibrant color. The central figure is my guardian angel the surgeon herself—her long blonde hair wearing her pearl necklace capturing the final, vivid image I saw through my fear just before the operation began. Driven by a shared love for the bold expressionism of Basquiat, this piece is a visceral celebration of sight reborn. A visual representation of going from darkness and blurriness to an explosion of pure, wonderful color. This artwork now resides in Ljubljana with my fantastic cataract surgeon, a profound token of gratitude and a lasting tribute to the hands that restored my vision.   2023 Acrylic

"The floating symphony"

A visual overture dedicated to the majestic depths of the ocean telling a story of survival. Beneath the shifting tides lies a world untouched by the noise of the surface. In this hidden sanctuary, time slows to a breath. Vibrant corals bloom like    stone flowers in the dark, while delicate creatures move through the deep blue like spirits in a dream.  Acrylic 2026

"Feeling STILL LIFE in spring!"

This watercolor painting is a quiet celebration of resilience—capturing the relief of surviving a long winter and welcoming the gentle rebirth of spring. Painted during an Easter visit with a dear artist friend in Istria, born from a deep, soulful conversation as our brushes met the paper. A toast to friendship, renewal, and the beautiful awakening of the light. water color on paper, 2024

Madame I love you too!

A vibrant explosion of romance, motion, and raw emotional declaration. This piece captures a fleeting, passionate moment of connection—an artistic exclamation point in a grand dialogue of love. A beautiful celebration of passion, spontaneity.  A sweet resonance of a confession and mutual affection that refuses to be contained. Crayons - acrylic on paper, 2022.

Fish, Fish, Fish! – That’s all I can think of!

A unique, tactile masterpiece literally born from the landscape of the Adriatic. Triggered by the whimsical rhythm of a friend's fish poem, this piece became a singular focus where everything else faded away! To ground this playful fixation, the canvas was sculpted using a blend of acrylic and all three variations of pulverized traditional Istrian soil: Crvenica / Red Soil, Sivica / Grey Soil, and Bijela Zemlja / White Soil. The heavy, sculptural organic textures carved into the canvas give the fish an ancient, fossil-like presence, bridging the deep connection between the sea and the terrestrial embedded DNA of Istria. Tre Terre of the landscape into the canvas. 2023

"Stay out of my bubble!"

A captivating visual metaphor for the invisible boundaries we build to guard our inner sanctuary. An exploration of isolation, vulnerability, and the friction of proximity, clustering and pressing against one another’s borders.  While the soft blues and iridescence suggest weightless tranquility, the title injects a sharp, relatable human truth: a declaration of personal space, protection, and the fragile beauty of our own private worlds with the desire to drift close and the instinct to pull away. Each bubble represents a self-contained universe—beautiful, brilliant, yet easily shattered. This piece serves as a poetic reminder of the delicate lines we draw to preserve our peace in a crowded world. Acrylic on canvas, 2024
